Navigating Difficult Conversations

Difficult conversations take courage and skill. Especially when approaching your supervisor, faculty colleagues, and peers!
This session will provide you with the tools to become an assertive leader and have the best difficult conversations during your graduate experience at UBCO.
Facilitated by Laura Prada, First Year Services Coordinator in Campus Life. Laura completed her Master’s in Education in 2015 at UBC. She currently works with over 125 student volunteers and coordinates an orientation program for out of province students. Laura has over 8 years of experience working with students leaders and from time to time has had to have difficult conversations.
This workshop is open to all graduate students.
This workshop is part of the Professional Development suite of workshops offered by the College of Graduate Studies.
