Q2: What is the status of my application?
Please login to the online application system to check your application status. You may check your application status at any time by logging into your online application account and viewing your application checklist. Please allow 10 business days after the receipt of documents for verification and processing.
Q3: When will I receive a decision on my application?
You can expect to receive a decision approximately 6-8 weeks after the application deadline.
Q4: What programs do you offer?

Q5: Do I meet the minimum admission requirements?
Minimum requirements, including requirements by country, can be found on our website.
Q6: When are official transcripts required?
Official transcripts are not required until you receive an admission offer from UBC. Unofficial scanned copies of all post-secondary transcripts are required at the time of application.
Q7: I would like to request an application fee waiver.
Application fee waivers are only granted as listed on our website. If you are eligible, the waiver will be applied when you submit your application.
Q8: What is a grading scale?
A grading scale/transcript key/grading system provides a description of how grades are assessed at your institution. The grading scale/transcript key/grading system may be located on the back of your transcript, at the bottom of your transcript, or as a transcript supplement. In addition, you can usually find it on the institution’s website or you can request it directly from the institution.
Q9: How do I upload a document after submitting my application?
1. Log in to the online application system.
2. On the main page, click on “Submitted Applications.”
3. Locate the application you would like to manage.
4. Click on the Documents button beside your application and upload the required documents.
Q10: How do I replace a referee or edit a referee's email?
1. Sign in to the online application system.
2. Click “Submitted Applications.”
3. Locate the application you would like to update. Click on the “References” button.
4. Select the referee.
5. Click “Replace a Referee” or click “Edit Email Address and Resend Email.”
6. Fill in the required information and click next. A notification will be sent to your new referee.

Q2: Can I submit English language test scores, references, or other documents after the deadline?
Please submit all application components by the deadline (deadlines are posted at the top of each application page and on our website ). If you are unable to meet the deadline due to circumstances beyond your control, please contact the program directly to determine if they will allow for the submission of late documents.
Q3: Have you received my official English language test results?
If you have ordered test scores to be submitted to our office, they will automatically be matched to your application. Due to the pandemic, it is sometimes taking several weeks for these scores to be submitted. Your application checklist will be updated once the scores are received and processed.
