  • In addition to the Governor General’s Gold Medal nomination form, please submit the following (attached documents must be in 12-point Times New Roman font; single spaced; all margins set at a minimum of ¾“ or 1.87 cm):
  • Max. file size: 12 MB.
    A one page letter composed by the student including: - a sentence stating they would like to be considered for the Governor General's Gold Medal - an outline of the thesis/dissertation completed. The letter must adhere to the formatting guidelines listed above.
  • Max. file size: 12 MB.
    The student's CV should include scholarships and awards, contributions to research and publications, work, etc.
  • Max. file size: 12 MB.
    A one page letter composed by the student's Supervisor in support of the nomination, including a clear articulation of the excellence of the candidate according to the selection criteria: academic excellence, research ability, and personal characteristics, interpersonal and leadership skills. Letter must adhere to the formatting guidelines listed above.

  • I declare that the statements made in this submission are, to the best of my knowledge, true, complete and correct. I understand that the Dean of the College of Graduate Studies at the University of British Columbia's Okanagan campus reserves the right to revoke any scholarship offering resulting, where necessary, in the need for a student to withdraw from his/her degree program if any of the information in this reference is found to be untrue, or if evidence of fraudulent submission of documentation is found.
