  • REFEREE INSTRUCTIONS
  • Please complete and submit the reference form if you have agreed to evaluate an applicant for a Finch Family Graduate Award. It is recommended that the applicant provides a copy of their application form and attachments to inform your assessment. When writing your appraisal, please bear in mind that the adjudication committee may not have an intimate knowledge of the field or sub-field in which the applicant proposes to study. It is recommended that referees comment on each evaluation criterion and provide a justification for the evaluation in the additional comments section. Please assess the applicant’s strengths and limitations for each criterion and include specific examples of the applicant’s accomplishments and contributions to support your assessment. The additional comment section is optional but strongly recommended. At a minimum, referees must submit the applicant and referee information section and the rating section of this reference form.

  • Finch Family Graduate Award applications are adjudicated by the College of Graduate Studies Scholarship and Awards Committee.
  • IMPORTANT NOTES
  • Please complete and submit the reference form by the competition deadline. Late and/or incomplete reference forms will not be considered and will negatively impact the applicant’s opportunity to be considered for Finch Family Graduate Award funding.
