Graduate Dean’s Thesis Fellowship Canadian, Permanent Residence, and International Masters and PhD Continuing Students Open

The Graduate Dean’s Thesis Fellowship (GDTF) is a merit-based fellowship that is awarded to full-time, research-based graduate students who are approaching their final term and are focusing on the completion of their thesis/dissertation/research project. This fellowship is intended to provide financial support while students are engaged in the final writing stages of their graduate program. Students may receive a GDTF only once per degree program.

International Four-Year Doctoral Partial Tuition Award International PhD Incoming Students Open

The International Four-Year Doctoral Partial Tuition (IDPT) Award is available to international incoming PhD students and PhD transfer students. The Award pays the tuition differential between international and domestic tuition for eligible students. The award provides funding for up to a total of four years (48 months) per awardee.

IODE War Memorial Scholarship Canadian PhD Continuing Students Closed

The National Chapter of Canada IODE initiated War Memorial Doctoral Scholarships in 1918 to commemorate Canadians who sacrificed their lives for peace and freedom. Initially, bursaries were granted to children of men and women who lost their lives or who were permanently disabled while fighting for Canada. Since the first scholarships were awarded in 1921, IODE War Memorial Scholars have made important contributions to Canada and the world in medicine, science, business, politics and academia.

The Schmidt Science Fellows program provides the world’s best emerging scientists with new skills and perspectives to develop novel solutions to society’s challenges, become scientific and societal thought leaders, and accelerate ground-breaking discoveries.  The program is looking for the brightest minds in the natural sciences, mathematics, engineering, and computing who are interested in broadening their horizons.  Fellows receive a stipend of $100,000 USD per year and are supported to pursue a one to two year postdoctoral placement at a world-leading laboratory anywhere in the world in a disciplinary pivot from their PhD.  Fellows also benefit from a Global Meeting Series and personalized mentoring program.
